About

Businesses shouldn’t need their founder in every room.

Carryless exists because most founders build a business, and then quietly become its most load-bearing part. The business grows, the team grows, the tools multiply — and somehow everything still comes back to one person. That person is you.

That isn’t a personal failure. It’s what happens by default when knowledge stays in a founder’s head instead of becoming something the business can run on. Carryless exists to change that default.

The mission

Carryless helps founders build autonomous businesses — businesses that keep running, keep their standards, and keep making good decisions whether or not the founder is in the room.

We do that by removing founder dependency wherever it shows up, and turning what a founder already knows into operating capability the business can rely on. Not a binder no one reads. Not another tool bolted on top of the chaos. Actual capability, installed.

What founder dependency looks like

Founder dependency rarely looks dramatic. It looks like:

  • Everything comes back to you.
  • Your team still waits for your decision on things that should be repeatable.
  • You can’t properly switch off, because you’re not sure what happens if you do.
  • The business runs well when you’re close to it, and slips when you’re not.

A business can look organised from the outside — systems, SOPs, a team, software — and still depend entirely on the founder to think. Carryless is built to find exactly where that dependency lives, and remove it.

Business Assets

Carryless Business Assets are how that removal actually happens. Each one is a focused, practical piece of operating capability — built to take one specific founder dependency off your hands and leave your business able to run that part of itself.

They are not theory. They are not another PDF to file away. Each Business Asset is designed to be installed, used, and to keep paying off long after you’ve finished it.

The Business Freedom Test is the starting point — a five-minute way to see where dependency is costing you the most. From there, Business Assets give you a direct, practical way to install the capability that removes it.

Where technology fits

Carryless is not an AI company, and autonomy isn’t something you get by adding more software. Technology, including AI, is one of the ways operating capability gets installed once you know where it’s needed — it supports the work. It has never been, and will never be, the promise itself. The promise is a business that can run without you.

The long-term vision

Carryless is being built as a growing set of Business Assets, assessments and systems that compound over time — so that as a founder installs more capability, their business needs them less, and their choices grow. Read without you. Decide without you, on the things that should be repeatable. Eventually, run without you, by design rather than by accident.

That’s the business we’re building. It’s also the outcome we build for every founder who works with us.
