This notice explains how Carryless uses information you share through this website.

Who we are

Carryless is the trading name of Candy Campbell, a sole trader. Location: Hertfordshire, England, UK. Email: carryless.team@gmail.com.

Carryless is the controller of the information described here.

Enquiry information

The enquiry form asks for your name, email address, business stage and context, support need, working budget and timing. A website address is optional. We use this information to understand your enquiry, assess a suitable next step and respond to you. Submitting an enquiry does not commit either party to a booking or service. No marketing subscription is included.

We handle enquiries because you have asked us to consider working with you: the lawful basis is taking steps at your request before a possible contract. The form also asks you to confirm you have read this notice. You can ask us to stop at any time, though we may then be unable to continue discussing your enquiry.

How enquiries are handled

These providers may process information outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, they rely on safeguards in their own terms, such as the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the UK international data transfer addendum.

Keeping information

Enquiries are kept while they are active. An enquiry is treated as closed when it ends, or after 6 months without activity. We review enquiry records every month and delete closed enquiries 12 months after closure from Netlify, the enquiry ledger and the automatic copies in Carryless’s email (deleted email is permanently removed within a further 30 days). If an enquiry leads to work, it becomes part of our client records, which are kept for up to 6 years after the work ends for tax and contract purposes. We keep information for longer only for a specific, documented reason, such as a dispute, and review that at least every 12 months. Information from people who become clients, and records we must keep for tax, contract or legal reasons, are kept for as long as those purposes require. To ask for earlier deletion, email us with your enquiry reference.

Please do not send passwords, account access details, sensitive personal information or confidential information about your clients.

Your rights

You can ask for access to your information, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, or object where applicable. To ask us to delete your information, email carryless.team@gmail.com with “Delete my data” in the subject, from the address you used or quoting your enquiry reference. We act on requests and reply within one month, and tell you if anything must be kept, for example tax records for clients. You can also raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Cookies and external pages

The website code does not add advertising or analytics cookies. Hosting services may process technical request data for delivery and security.

The Business Freedom Test opens a separate application hosted for Carryless by Base44, which acts as our processor. Before showing results it stores your first name, email address, answers and result. It asks before using Base44 analytics: if you choose “No thanks”, nothing is stored in your browser for analytics and no analytics data is sent, and the test works the same. If you accept, Base44 stores an analytics ID in your browser and records how the test is used. You can change your choice with the “Analytics choice” link. Test results are deleted 12 months after you take the test, or sooner on request: they are removed from the live database and Base44 erases deleted items within 30 days, although Base44 may keep earlier versions in its system history for a limited period we cannot set. To ask for deletion, email us.

Talk to Carryless — AI conversation

If you agree, your messages and the current chat history are sent through Netlify AI Gateway to OpenAI’s gpt-4.1-mini model to understand your business needs and suggest a Carryless next step. Do not include names, contact details, passwords or confidential client information. The chat explains Carryless and suggests a next step; it cannot book, arrange discussions, contact anyone or deliver any service.

Carryless keeps this chat in your open page rather than adding it to an enquiry record automatically. Netlify states that its gateway does not store prompts or replies in normal operation; it retains request metadata for logging, auditing and support. Netlify states that providers may not train their models on inputs received through Netlify. We do not claim that every upstream provider has zero retention, or a fixed retention period for request metadata. Processing may take place outside the UK, including in the United States. Netlify’s Data Processing Agreement provides safeguards for UK transfers, including the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the UK international data transfer addendum, as applicable.

If you choose human help or request a consultation, your context is temporarily copied within this browser tab and accepted by the enquiry form for 15 minutes. The copy is cleared when the enquiry form opens, you clear the chat or the tab closes. Review and edit it, add your contact details and confirm the enquiry separately before submitting. No appointment, price or service is confirmed by chat.

You can withdraw chat consent or clear the conversation to stop further messages and remove the local chat and handoff copy. This does not retract information already processed by a provider. AI can make mistakes.
